I'm also a paying Macrium customer, and I for one appreciate all the work that has gone into developing and bringing to market the latest version.
If you roll back to v7 for the time being, you'll have the full instruction manual at your fingertips, and you'll be ready to go back to v8 as soon as the equivalent manual appears. Most users are quite happy to use the new version ahead of the definitive user guide appearing, and those of us who prefer to wait until more extensive instructions are available can simply hold back on upgrading.
Macrium could have delayed the release of v8 until they had the full user guide available, but that would have resulted in further delay all round.
But in the world we're living in right now, in the middle of a pandemic, it was never going to happen.
